Growing up in San Diego taught me the value of hard work and teamwork. As a kid, I sold newspaper subscriptions door-to-door, learning the importance of persistence. Playing sports like football, basketball, and golf further instilled the significance of both team dynamics and individual effort. These experiences shaped my approach to financial advising, where understanding each client's unique story is paramount.
My journey into financial advising was inspired by personal experiences. During college, I took out my first student credit card without understanding the long-term implications of minimum payments. This lack of financial education drove my passion for helping others make informed financial decisions. Additionally, a negative experience with a doctor who didn't take the time to understand me highlighted the importance of truly knowing and caring for clients. I aim to be an advisor who listens and provides guidance based on a deep understanding of each client's needs and passions.
Over the years, through countless client relationships and experiences, I've gathered a wealth of financial wisdom. This collective knowledge is something I deeply enjoy sharing with my clients, helping them navigate their financial journeys with confidence. I strive to equip each client with the insights needed to make informed choices, ultimately guiding them towards their financial aspirations.
Comprehensive Approach
Family is central to my life.
The FORUM process I use stands for Family, Occupation, Recreation, Understanding, and Money. It's a comprehensive approach that helps me connect with clients on a personal level, ensuring that the financial strategies I recommend align with their unique personalities and aspirations. I see my role as a form of coaching, guiding clients to realize their dreams through smart financial decisions.
Family is central to my life. My wife, Jennifer, has been my steadfast partner since 2003, supporting me as I work to help my clients. We have three wonderful children: Alyssa, who is studying English and Pre-Law at Cal Berkeley; Sophie, who is active in field hockey, lacrosse, and theater at Cathedral Catholic High School; and Alexander, who loves the outdoors and team sports.
In my personal time, I prioritize health and mindfulness. I work out regularly and practice meditation to maintain balance. Golf is a favorite pastime, offering both physical and mental challenges. Above all, I cherish spending time with my family, whether at home or traveling. These experiences enriched my life and reinforced my commitment to helping others achieve their financial goals.
